A Bright & Joyful Day at Owen House Wedding Barn

Hannah and Pete’s wedding was a dream, at a gorgeous venue in Mobberley. As an Owen House Barn wedding photographer, there’s something undeniably special about this venue- the rustic charm, the relaxed atmosphere, and the way it perfectly frames a love story like theirs.

Hannah and Pete met back in 2017 while at the University of Leeds and have been inseparable ever since. Pete proposed on a secluded lookout point with panoramic island views: just the two of them and a whole lot of love. Fast-forward to 2025, and they celebrated their marriage surrounded by family, friends, and their beloved dog, Roo.

The Venue – Owen House Wedding Barn

Tucked away in the Cheshire countryside, Owen House Wedding Barn offers everything under one roof. From the charming Beauty Shed and Baa Baa Shed for morning prep, to the warm and welcoming ceremony space, every moment was grounded in comfort and simplicity. The laid-back, rustic feel of the barn suited Hannah and Pete perfectly.

They kept their styling light, bright, and seasonal; spring and summer tones that matched the time of year and the energy of their day. With confetti thrown in the orchard, a ceremony filled with laughter, and a dance floor that came alive thanks to The Rush band and DJ, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric.

The People & The Pup

Let’s talk about Roo, their four-legged ring bearer! She stole the show (and our hearts) with her engraved pouch and flower-filled photo moments. Roo joined us for portraits straight after the ceremony before heading back to her doggy chaperone, Pawfect Occasions.

The day ran like clockwork with help from Hannah’s Maid of Honour Dana and Best Man Dan. Every moment was intentional yet effortless- from heartfelt speeches before dinner to a sunset first dance, cake cutting, and an all-night celebration.

A Few Favourite Wedding Details

  • Dress & Suit: Hannah wore a stunning gown from Pretty White Dress in Hale, while Pete and the groomsmen looked sharp in Peter Posh suits.

  • Florals: Sian from The Flower Lounge created arrangements that were full of life- colourful, relaxed, and bursting with personality.

  • Music & Moments: Acoustic vibes from Abi Philips set the tone, while The Rush brought the evening to life. Partyshotz Photo Booth added that extra fun spark for guests.

Planning as a Team

One of the most beautiful parts of Hannah and Pete’s journey was how they did everything together. Every decision was made side-by-side, which really shone through on the day. Their biggest advice for future couples? Enjoy the ride, and do it as a team.
