Teri & Dean’s wedding day over at Hollins Hall, Yorkshire

I found myself over in Leeds for Terri and Dean’s wedding. Hollins Hall is a beautiful hotel and country club set within acres of stunning grounds in the Yorkshire countryside. A pretty damn epic backdrop for wedding photographs!

Hollins Hall holds a pretty special place in Terri and Dean’s lives. In fact, without it there wouldn’t have been a wedding! They both used to work there as managers and Terri first saw Dean when he was throwing his best moves on the dancefloor at a party. Moves he replicated later on on the very same dancefloor on his wedding day!

After morning getting pampered with her bridesmaids Terri arrived at St James Church in Baildon looking absolutely stunning. Dean couldn’t quite contain his emotions as she walked down the aisle towards him. I love a groom who isn’t afraid to show his bride how much he adores her. Since getting engaged myself and planning my own wedding I’ve found myself having to wipe the odd tear from my eye at every wedding I photograph now! I’ll probably be an emotional wreck on my own day!

Back at Hollins Hall Terri, Dean and I went for a wander around the grounds whilst all their guests were arriving and making the most of the sunshine on the terrace.

They were keen to keep things really relaxed, neither of them are huge fans of having their photos taken, so wanted a more documentary feel to their portraits. I was more than happy to oblige and shot away as they enjoyed a walk together. That beautiful Yorkshire countryside made the perfect background to their pictures, the views from Hollins Hall are absolutely incredible!

We got back to reception in time for speeches, Terri’s mum kicked things off with a lot of hilarious stories about the bride’s childhood before Terri herself stood up to talk about Dean. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as she talked about her love and thanked all their closest friends and family for joining them. And then it was partytime! I love joining everyone on the dancefloor as I snap away and I was really looking forward to seeing some of those dancemoves I’d heard so much about! These two certainly know how to throw a brilliant party!
