Natalie & Damian's Wedding at Heskin Hall, Chorley

untitled-1024.jpg

On the 20th January 2018, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Natalie & Damian's wedding day as their photographer. As I'm writing this in my 'wedding man cave', a week has gone by, editing is done, photos delivered, and I'm excited to share my experiences from such a wonderful day. Believe it or not, this was only my second wedding that I'd ever done!

Before the Wedding Day

Nat had reached out to me a while before and asked me if I'd be her wedding photographer, and I happily obliged!

As with every wedding; nerves were kicking in, things felt like they were going wrong, last minute venue change, but through it all, Nat persevered and was determined not to let anything get in the way of marrying her best friend. For a while me and Nat had been conversing back and forth, talking about the day and any ideas she had in mind (Admittedly, I was just excited as she was!). The love between these two was just something else, and I couldn't wait to be capture every moment as the day went on!

The Ceremony

It may have been a cold and wet day, but that wasn't going to stop such a memorable occasion! Natalie & Damian's wedding ceremony was certainly intimate and extremely special. There I was, camera in hand, ready to kickstart the day and get some gorgeous photos that they could look back on!

With emotions running high, it was time to move on to the next part of the day!

Reception venue

Heskin Hall is a large historic Manor House, located in Chorley. It's a beautiful venue to say the least, the huge skylight above means there's loads of natural light about! (AKA the perfect environment for us wedding photographers). I was so excited to shoot here ever since Nat mentioned it to me!

After a lovely ceremony, I had time to steal the guests away for group shots, quickly might I add, due to the bad weather! This was then followed by their evening meal, speeches and a few toasts to the happy couple. To say that I loved photographing Nat & Damian's big day would be an understatement! I felt so welcomed by everybody there and I was able to capture everything as it happened.

As the sun started to set (and Nat's feet were aching), I decided to quickly steal them away from the party and take them for a lovely stroll around the grounds. I didn't even have to say anything - off they went, chatting, huge smiley faces, hand in hand and I got to capture it all! I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the love between these two was just something else and it made for some really gorgeous photos. I captured everything. Every. Single. Thing. Including the part where we scouted for a place to perch, so Damian could (finally) take off Nat's shoes! It was a small, intimate moment that made us all chuckle, so I just had to get a photo of it! It held meaning, it was personal.

Anyways, enough of my ramblings! I'm not the best at storytelling with words, so that's why I've included below, a select few of my favourite images from the day!

Thank you for having me along, guys. I seriously had so much fun!

I wish you all the best for the future.
