Chelsea & Danny's Friday the 13th wedding

In the early spring of 2018, I was fortunate enough to be asked by Chelsea & Danny to be with them and document their wedding day! As soon as the email from Chelsea’s best friend, Louise, landed in my inbox - I knew I was in for a treat! I’m pretty sure the opening line after my initial reply was “You realise its on Friday the 13th, right?!” 

Now I don’t know about you, but I’m not really the superstitious type.. Until it comes down to Friday the 13th! I still said yes of course, I was so excited to be apart of their day! 

So, the 13th of April came around in no time! Off I went with a (quite surprisingly) short drive to Cedar Court Hotel in Huddersfield! It may have been Friday the 13th, rain was forecast and the skies were grey - but that wasn’t going to dampen the mood on such a momentous occasion! 

Right from the beginning of bridal preparations, through to the end of the night, I was made to feel incredibly welcome by all of Chelsea & Danny’s family, and it was a real honour being there. From the moment Danny said “I do” to the wrong part of the vows, the heartfelt compliments, those embarrassing speeches, when their son, Kyle, tried to embarrass them both just after the wedding breakfast, and the ominous tomatoes and cucumber wrapped up in newspaper.. (I think you get where I’m going with that last one!), it was truly a wonderful day and I enjoyed every moment! 

I love getting to mingle with guests at a wedding, it puts everyone at ease, and it also means I can get up close and personal during those dance floor shenanigans! 

But lets not forget Chelsea’s incredible surprise gift to Danny; a scrapbook filled with photos from people who live in all corners of the planet, with a message that said “Daniel, Chelsea’s love for you is so strong that it reached *insert country here* ” See the reference photos, and Danny’s reaction in the photos below!!
