You’ll quickly realise that there is a theme to Coral and Lee’s wedding, see if you can spot it…yep, that’s right…PUMPKINS! Well, autumn in general, but it was really all about the pumpkins!
This was my first time at The Oak Tree of Peover and I hope it’s not my last, what a cracking wedding venue. Just outside Knutsford, set amidst the pretty stunning Cheshire countryside you’ll find a gorgeous, intimate rustic barn venue. Formerly a golf club the Oak Tree of Peover is now an award winning venue that caters for smaller weddings as well as celebrations of up to 180 people. The huge, panoramic windows offer amazing views across the grounds as well as letting in lots of lovely natural light. Perfect!
Wedding ceremonies at The Oak Tree of Peover
As I’m sure you’ve guessed by now Coral and Lee got married last autumn, so they’d gone all out on the rustic decorations. The Oak Tree looked fantastic. As I’ve already mentioned, and as you’ve probably already noticed, there were pumpkins EVERYWHERE! As wedding decorations go these have to be some of my favourites.
Coral and Lee are so blooming lovely, they cracked up during the ceremony when Coral forgot her own name (hilarious!) and we had such a laugh when we went out to take some portraits in that lovely (ha! I am overusing that word!) autumnal light. I’ll also need to give a shout out to Lee’s Dad who played guitar during the ceremony, what a talent.
The terrace that surrounds The Oak Tree is the most perfect spot for drinks, especially in that autumn sunshine. We spent most of the afternoon out there before heading indoors for speeches and dancing. After some creatively lit portraits (I never miss a chance to get a bit artistic!) I left them all dancing the night away. Coral and Lee were surrounded by their friends and having the time of their lives.

A few eagle eyed blog readers will have noticed I have started offering film and photography packages. I am loving being a ‘one man band’ ninja style shooter. Even if you’re not after a full wedding highlights film of your day you can always opt to add on videos of your ceremony and speeches, just like Coral and Lee did. They told me how much they loved having those films to look back on as the whole day had passed in a blur.
