One Fine Day wedding - Maisie and Adam

Hold on to your hats, I’m about to show you a whole heap of Liverpool city centre wedding goodness!

Whilst you’ll normally find me out in the wilds of the countryside, photographing weddings at one of the many wedding venues that are surrounded by fields, woodland and greenery I have to say, I do love an urban wedding. Show me some street art, a funky doorway and some back streets and I’m a happy boy!

Weddings at One Fine Day

One Fine Day is not your average wedding venue. Owned by the frankly fantastic team behind Leaf and Oh Me Oh My you just know that One Fine Day is going to be awesome. Housed in a Grade II listed former cotton exchange and (fittingly) registry office, One Fine Day is now a chilled out cafe and events space.

One Fine Day weddings feel intimate and relaxed yet take place in the large events space complete with grand pillars and high ceilings. It’s a blank canvas but with enough original detailing to look amazing even with the most minimal of decoration.

Masie and Adam had really put their stamp on the room, pastel flowers and dark green foliage as well as a “living wall” complimented the clean white space and candlelit tables. They’d gone for understated elegance which really suited their wedding day.

Following Maisie and Adam’s church ceremony the guests all piled into their cars to head over to One Fine Day. This gave the three of us some time to have a wander and get some fantastic portraits of Adam and Maisie. The area around the church was perfect for some photographs, cobbled streets, fancy townhouses and the odd bit of lush greenery were all we needed to get some really amazing pictures. Taking this opportunity to get those portraits meant that Adam and Maisie had some time together to bask in their newly wed bliss before meeting everyone back to One Fine Day to celebrate.

The narrow cobbled street that leads to One Fine Day was a great spot for a few relaxed family formals. We may have sneaked in a couple more portraits of Adam and Maisie too, these two are so loved up and adorable, I couldn’t resist!

I’ve got to say, I think One Fine Day might be the perfect party venue for a big old celebration. Maisie and Adam’s first dance started off as a gentle sway before the confetti cannons were fired and everyone piled onto the dancefloor to join them. There were Jaeger bombs, huge group hugs and epic singalongs. What a party!

Here are my highlights from Maisie and Adam’s day and if you’re on the hunt for a Liverpool city centre wedding photographer then get in touch, I’d love to hear from you! Get in touch HERE!
