Oh boy have I been DYING to blog about this absolutely stunning Winter Wedding at The Castlefield Rooms. Lyndsey and Mike had smiles and laughter that was so infectious and it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of their day. We met at the start of the year when they found me via Facebook and fell in love with my work, we chatted and just instantly clicked. I spent the morning with Lyndsey and the girls whilst they got ready at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, before heading off to the church!

The crisp winter sun was most definitely welcomed at this absolutely stunning wedding! Seriously, such a lovely day for Lyndsey & Mike - Intimate church ceremony, followed by their reception at The Castlefied Rooms. We even made time to get out for some couples portraits in the most gorgeous winter sunshine.

The Ceremony

This wonderful couple decided they would be married at their local parish church - St Ann’s Church. It was a beautiful and intimate church ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. It wasn’t long before nerves started kicking in for Mike! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more nervous groom before (Sorry Mike, it had to be said!).

The Castlefield Rooms Wedding Venue

Now, let me tell you just how much I love The Castlefield Rooms as a wedding venue (hint: its A LOT). Lyndsey & Mike wanted a rustic theme to their wedding but also a place that had meaning and what better setting for their lovely wedding - this venue was their dads favourite restaurant and they had lost him earlier in the year.

This stunning wedding venue is based right in the heart of Manchester City centre and simply put - just beautiful. It backs right onto the Bridgewater Canal and let me tell you, you won’t be disappointed for some urban photoshoot locations if thats you’re thing! It truly is an amazing place to have a wedding.
